Booking procedure and payment terms

Clients must complete and sign the booking form and forward it by email or post.

A deposit payment of £300 is to be made by bank transfer

Any provisional booking will be held for seven days pending receipt of the signed booking form agreeing to terms & conditions and deposit in respect of the accommodation. A booking will be considered firm when the deposit has been received and cleared we will confirm the booking in writing or by e-mail.

An adult must accompany persons under the age of 21.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

The booking deposit will become the refundable security deposit, it will be returned within 2 weeks of you vacating the property less any losses or damages.

ENTRY TO PREMISES WILL BE DENIED TO A CLIENT WHO HAS NOT PAID THE REQUIRED SECURITY DEPOSIT.

The full payment is due 8 weeks before the date you arrive at the Gite. No reminder will be issued. Bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival are payable in full + security deposit at the time of booking. Directions and access details will be made known to you upon payment of balance.

We will make every effort to accommodate any requests or changes to your booking. There may be a small administration fee for this service.

MINIMUM PERIOD OF RENTAL

The minimum period is generally one week.  Prices are per booking per week.  In particular circumstances we reserve the right to make rentals with different conditions.  Price may change without prior notice in accordance with changes in exchange rates.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Arrival:

The property will be available to clients after 5 p.m. local time on the day of arrival unless otherwise agreed.

Departure:

All accommodation must be vacated by10 a.m. local time on the day of departure.

Any modifications of time of arrival or departure must be communicated and approved by us at least two days in advance. In case of unforeseen delay on the day of arrival the client must phone if the arrival time is later than 10pm,

INSURANCE

Please note that clients are required to make their own insurance arrangements. We will not be liable for any loss or injury resulting from the use of the property and pool. In the event that a client needs to leave the Gite and book elsewhere due to unforeseen circumstances the cost will not be Bourne by the owners of Le Mont.

NUMBER OF PERSONS

The accommodation provided is only for the use of persons named by the client on the booking form, subletting, sharing or assigning is prohibited. Number of persons lodged in the accommodation may not exceed 12 the number of beds indicated in the description, with exception of children 1 year or under.  The number of persons may of course be fewer than the beds.

CONDITION- CLEANLINESS

The Gite is thoroughly cleaned and is presented to the client in a clean and perfect condition. It must be left in the same condition as found.

INDOOR AND OUTDOOR MAINTENANCE

In case of need for repairs or general maintenance (swimming pool, garden, etc.) the owner has the right upon giving advance notice to the client, to enter the premises rented, both indoor and outdoor, accompanied by professional, trustworthy workmen.

CANCELLATION PENALTY   

If the client cancels the reservation by E-mail or telephone, having already sent the rental, the following cancellation penalties will be charged to the client:

Greater than 8 weeks before the rental start date  - Return of 50% of deposit

8 weeks or less before the rental start date   - No return of rental unless the   Gite can be re-let.  This is at the entire discretionof the Gite Owner.

Reimbursement will be made by cheque sent by mail. There will be no refund once the rental period has commenced.

RESPONSIBILITY

In case of problems the client must undertake to communicate them to the owners within 24 hours off arrival at the Gite.  The client must undertake to give the owner reasonable time to resolve any such problem.  Clients who leave the accommodation prior to the agreed upon date will have no right to reimbursement, Complaints made by a client more than 24 hours after arrival or at the end of the journey can receive no reimbursements or indemnification.

It is the owner’s private pool which the guests have exclusive use of; whilst not in use by guests the owner reserves all rights. Swimming pool safety is to be adhered to at all times. The pool is not to be used by children without adult supervision.

In the interest of saving water, water guns and such like are not permitted.

Pool towels are not provided therefore towels from the Gite must not be used at the pool.

CANCELLATION BY

We may in exceptional circumstances cancel the contract in whole or in part without penalty.  In such case, if the contract is cancelled before its initiation, the client will receive full reimbursement of all money paid. 

Smoking

For the comfort and safety of clients and guests,smoking is not permitted in the Gite.Smokers may do so by the pool or in the Gite garden area, where receptacles are provided.  There will be an additional cleaning charge if the client and or guests choose to ignore this condition of booking

STRIKES- ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS- WAR- CIVIL AND MILITARY DISORDER- RIOTS- NATURAL CALAMITIES

All these constitute “force majeure" and are not the responsibility of Le Mont.

Any additional expenditure borne by the client and caused by such conditions will not be reimbursed, nor will any services lost thereby be recoverable.

Pets are only allowed by prior agreement

Parking

The parking area on the drive in front of the pool is to be used at all times, vehicles remain the total responsibility of their owners.

Grounds

There are resident horses and other animals within the grounds surrounding the Gite contained by electrical and other fencing, any injury received to guests by said animals or fencing will be the responsibility of the client, any injury or damage to animals & fencing by guests will also be the responsibility of the client.

These Terms & Conditions will be emailed with the booking form to be signed & returned, it is important that all adult members of the party have read, understood and agree to these terms & conditions.
